FC Nelson Soccer prizegiving

On Sunday 23 of September it was prizegiving for all the people who play for the FC Nelson Soccer Club.The prize giving was at the Boys' College hall. It is the celebration for the whole season. All the people were sitting in the Boys' College hall and clapping. First all the 9th grade go up in front of all the people and get their medal, then the 10th grade.In each team it can only be two players who get the medals. It is player players and player of the year.It is up to under 17.When it is finish all the people went home.

Mask Making

This week the whole school are making masks for mask parade.We are making hammerhead shark masks. They will be made out of foam. There are: eyes, fins, front, face and back. The children have to cut them out by themselves. My class Room 15 are making it after lunch and maybe the other classes too. The children have to paint it. It will be fun to wear it and scare them out.

Thomas

This is Thomas he is nine years old. He has been at Victory for six years. He works well with others and he is cooperative. He likes playing soccer reading and writing.

Thomas wanted to be a Victory leader because when he was a Year four he looked up to them so now he wants others to look up to him.

"I want to be a Victory leader because I want teachers and students to trust me," said Thomas. "Being a Victory leader is important because you have to be responsible and trustworthy and supportive."

Abby

This is Abby she is a Victory leader. She is 9 years old and has been at this school for 6 years.  She is in Room 11. Her hobbies are drumming and drawing.  "I wanted to be a Victory Leader when all my friends became leaders in 2011", she said.

Brooklyn

This is Brooklyn, she is ten years old. She is in Room 15 this year and she thinks its fun.  Her favourite subject is maths because she thinks its challenging.  She is interested in songs on youtube.  Her hobbies are Hockey and Soccer.  Brooklyn says being a Victory Leader is when you support others and help others.  She also says Victory Leaders are role models.
